I love my local LGS. Everyone I know there is really cool and amiable and new players are always testing the waters there. We play everything from War machine and 40k to WWII games in a couple different scales, but something I think about a lot is all the things I know about that I never would have known about without my friends there. One time, while I lamented my abysmal lack of graphic tees, a friend introduced me to www.shirtoid.com and now I can't stop perusing that site.

What have other dakkanaughts learned about from friend at the LGS?

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.
