So, I've recently moved to the area and I'm looking for 40k players in the local area.. does anyone play 40k round here

Looking on the Dakka Store Finder ( up there), Chesterfield has a GW store. Pop in or ask on their Facebook page.

If you can't find any individuals there are a few stores within an hour of you so it depends on what you call local... It takes an hour each way but you can get to the Nottingham store and back on the train for a tenner.

Open every day and late night is Thursday till 8.

Normally group games Saturday at 12. Sunday all the tables are for beginners.

Derby is only half an hour, dunno what that store is like or how close it is to the station.

In Matlock there is a indie store Shawes... maybe pop down there and chat up some locals?

Nice to know there's something there. Shawes is listed on GW's site, too.

I don't know if your still looking for players near you, but there's a local gaming group in Darley Dale just outside of Matlock, here's the link to the groups page;

They meet up on a monthly basis and there's a nice range of games to play including 40k. Its a great place to go if your looking to meet new players in the area.

Plus you have warhammer world here in Nottingham, if you don't mind the travel.
