Hey folks,

Making a list for a small combat patrol set of games. Here are the rules:

0-1 HQ
1-3 Troops
0-1 Fast
0-1 Elites
0-1 Heavy
No Flyers.
Nothing with more than 2 wounds.
No save value better than 3+.
No Armor Value greater than 12 on any vehicle side.
No Summoning Discipline
No Forgeworld , IA
No Named/Special Characters
No Lords of War
No Superheavies
No Allies
No Formations
All units must be from the same faction

My list so far:
CCS with 1x MG 2x PG 100pts
PCS with 1x HF 3x flamer 55 pts
Infantry Squad 1x GL 55 pts
Infantry Squad 1x GL 55 pts
Heavy Weapon Squad 3x AC 75 pts
Heavy Weapon Squad 3x Mortar 60 pts
Total: 400 pts

I'm not super concerned for vehicles give the AC and PGs, but is there anything I'm missing? I'd like to replace the mortars with ACs but can't seem to free up points (plus don't have the models)

Thanks!

At my desk

Good amount of bodies in the two squads with GL, which I think is better for handling infantry (considering that you have AC to handle vehicles)

I'd say that the MG is a waste as your CCS will probably not get within melta range, PG I agree with, good versatile weapon with good killing power against MEQ.

I'm personally not a fan of mortar teams, but If that's all you can afford than thats fine, but i find they don't tend to do much.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Id be tempted to drop the mortars and add another inf squad so you can blob to a 30 man.

Maybe replace the platoon with veterans. You'll get a better BS for your special weapons, but less bodies. Also you can add a wyvern, it's pretty good against infantry, which you'll face mostly at 400 pts.
