The title says it all. Which game should I get into, and why?

<appended> I'm looking for something I can a) play with my 5-year old son. He can handle SoBaH pretty well (although he's a sore loser), and b) use all my RAFM CoC investigators/monsters with.

I can't address Pulp Alley, and haven't played IHMN but…

After playing ITEN and reading through the IHMN rulebook, if your son can handle SBH, he can handle IHMN. I'm looking forward to playing IHMN when my RAFM Airship Pirates KS delivers. Pulp Alley is also a very well regarded game though.

Really though, there's no reason to limit yourself to one. Neither rulebook is particularly expensive and you can likely use the same figs in both games nearly interchangeably.

OK. I guess I can afford two rulebooks. I wonder which ruleset is easier for designing monsters...

IHMN has a unit design mechanic. I'm not sure about Pulp Alley, but it might also have one.

For more info, it's definitely worth doing a search on TMP and LeadAd. Pulp Alley and IHMN have big followings there.
