Subject: Best way to deliver the Dimachaeron?

Battlewagon Driver with Charged Engine

Hey there,
I've played Tyranids the last time back in 5th edition, so I am currently quite clueless about them on a deeper level. I am asking tips on how to best deliver the melee monster known as the Dimachaeron into combat.
Spesifically, I intend to drop him in a Tyrannocyte. However, he is not Fearless, so he needs Synapse when he arrives in order to perform ( please don't suggest walking unless you can make him move 12" a turn without fail somehow, as I consider it a bad option. His role is distraction and forcing the opponents hand in my future planned army. )
So are there any good ways to give him Synapse when he arrives with the Tyrannocyte? Fly a Flyrant near him, drop pod a synapse creature with him ( which and why? ) or something similiar?

IIRC - you get one turns grace (IB not checked on the turn they arrive) Depending on how you are playing the rest of your army - you may be able to charge synapse up there to get within 12 at least and use a flyrant as insurance.

If I may say so, he only really needs synapse once he gets into combat. In the open, he can't be pinned (being a MC), can't be forced to fall back from 25% casualties (single model), and his Instinctive Behavior is fairly tame compared to others (LD: 10 and IB: Feed - he ignores the 1-3 bad result being a single model and he has no guns, so the only thing he looses out on is running).
For drop-podding synapse, I'd probably lean towards Zoanthropes or Warriors. Flying Tyrants are probably the most optimal source though, since they will already want to be at the front lines anyway. The Skytyrant formation also might work nicely, since it offers both synapse and additional melee threat.

IB doesn't apply when in combat though

Oh yeah, true with all of the above. I guess a Flyrant is enough, since big D doesn't really care about IB much.

While true, he is not fearless iirc, so can be run down if he happens to lose combat. The tyranocyte is the best option, you can also use infiltrated genestealer brood lords as backup synapse with the dominion power and the ability to pin things it will charge so his initiative doesn't drop to 1 on the may in.

Best way to deliver the Dimachaeron? Roll master of Ambush on the strategic warlord traits. Most reliable way to deliver the Dimachaeron? Tyrannocyte w/reserves manipulator (bastion w/Comms relay) or roll the re-roll reserves warlord trait
