Hey guys! A friend wants to start trollbloods so i thought i would take this chance to try out a new warcaster, namely Rahn! (been using Kaelyssa from my battlebox, still a noob but loving the game so far). Anyway we are aiming for a 25pt list and i could use your help choosing stuff to put in/buy!

Atm i have:

Kaelyssa
Manticore
Griffon
Chimera
Phoenix
Mage Hunter Strike force + UA

I know he will be running warbeast heavy as he got quite a few cheaply namely the battlebox and a few others, so i know i need some hard hitters to take them out, i was thinking something like this?

Adeptis Rhan -6

Phoenix (10)

Dawnguard Sentinels - Leader and 9 Grunts (9)
+ UA (2)

House Shyeel Battle Mages - Leader and 5 Grunts (5)

Stormfall Archers - Leader and 5 Grunts (5)

Total: 25

Just a first initial list, but i would love your opinions on it and what i should change. Obviously i have to buy most of that list but i want all those units anyway because they will work with other warcasters and are just plain cool he also has cyriss which he plays 'jack heavy with syntherion so basically I'm looking to gather a heavy killer force using either rahn or Ossyan.
The general plan is to disrupt his small number of models using rhan and the mages so i can set up charges and wreak havoc with my sentinels. Phoenix is there to act as an arc node and a heavy hitter when it comes to it. Potential knockdowns will help the archers hit so i can really tear into something on that turn.

Feel free to tear me or my list apart seeing as im still new and offer alternatives for Ossyan if you wish as it's currently a toss up between rahn and Ossyan at this point, although rahn does look fun to use!

Thanks in advance!

With 25pts you don't really have many options and Rahn likes having a full toolbox to work with, but the list seems pretty solid. You want an arc node, so might as well get a heavy at the same time. Mages are a no brainer with Rahn and Sentinels give you are heavy hitting unit which will usually get the first hit thanks to Polarity Shield. The Stormfalls are good, but are the only part I would consider tweaking - it would be nice to have some solos in the list and Sentinels should take care of most stuff anyway. An Arcanist, Sylys and a MHA would be a decent swap imo.

Thanks for the reply, pretty much what i was thinking regarding your first couple of points, i was thinking about adding some solos instead of the archers... i was just unsure whether it was worth losing the firepower for them... i really want Sylys though... seems like he is rahn's best buddy!
