My main plan is to have the Firebase provide AA with TL HYMP while having my DE scoot around, dropping Warriors on Objectives and generally being shooty. The Scourge/Reapers do AT (alongside the Fire Base first turn), Anti Infantry is done by the Troop Choices - the Reaper can also help out with Anti Horde. Lhamaean sits on a backfield Objective or in reserve if my opponent has Drop Pods (so I don't concede first blood). Min unit of Reaver Jetbikes with an Arena Champion gives me Warlord Traits and a 48 inch movement for any Maelstrom Objective.

Thoughts on how to improve? I have considered Mandrakes and Incubi but couldn't fit them in..

Looks fairly solid. Probs drop the stim on the riptide so you can give all your sides ewo. See if you can jiggle points around a little more to give the sides some ablative wounds too, ie a couple of missle drones per squad.

Thanks for the input! Would you recommend replacing a WarriorVenom w/ ablative wounds and maybe some other stuff?

Say three ablative wounds on each unit, Heat Lance for Reavers and Dark Lance + Splinter Cannon on the Raider Gunboats?

Well when I run de with my tau allies here's the list I run. Quite similar but there are some differences.

DE CAD

Archon with armour of misery

9 x warriors in raider (raider has dark lance, splinter racks, night shields)

10 warriors in raider (raider has dark lance, splinter racks, night shields)

10 warriors in raider (raider has dark lance, splinter racks, night shields)

5 warriors in venom with double cannon

5 warriors in venom with double cannon

Ravager with triple lance

Ravager with triple lance

Ravager with triple lance

TAU ALLIES

Fireblade

6 man fw's

Riptide with ion, sms, ewo

5 man pathfinder squad

3 man broadsides with missles and 2 missle drones and ewo

Aegis defence line.

Comes out at 1850 exactly.

Riptide is for distraction/intercepting ap2 pie plates.
Sides provide anti air protection
Fireblade provides pathfinders with bs4 every turn
Pathfinders are helping sides to skyfire or remove cover etc
Dark lance spam for anti vehicle
3 gun boats to push forward and mop up contents of transports that get popped.
Warrior venoms for obj/line breaker
Archon for ld10 bubble for gun boats
Aegis give sides and pathfinders a nice 4+ cover save

By no means is mine the best list. Just a different take with slightly more mobility and set tasks for each unit.

For the sides I would suggest no more than 2 drones as putting too many in causes unnecessary ld tests from shooting. Also majority save is still 2+ with only 2.

If your arena champ is your warlord then you want to keep him out of the way to prevent first blood/slay the warlord. Giving them heat lances will make you want to send them forward lol.

Lances are an auto include for the gun boats I feel but splinter cannons can be dropped if you include racks as the weight of fire from 10 models will be nice enough anyway. If you need to save the 10pts then do so.

I would like to keep the FBSC, I find Tankhunters really helps with armour and allows Scourges and Reapers to focus on Av13/14.

How are Ravagers these days? They 10 pts cheaper than Reapers but have S8 weapons Lance as opposed to S7 Haywire

It's down to personal preference really. Lance is better for exploding vehicles. Therefore damaging passengers and other models close, whereas haywire strips hull points on a 4/6 chance. Also I find lances very tasty for things like mc's, insta killing any crisis or broadside suits and even taking the sting out of dev squads etc. they are str 8 ap2 so aren't necessarily always best targeting vehicles if there are more dangerous threats.

When you put it like that I might take the Ravagers - I think the Missilesides/Scourge should be sufficient enough for armour, especially with a Splitfire and Tankhunters. But the list is lacking in S8 weapons (only source was the Dark Lance Raider which is most likely Jinking which is why I had Dissies before and the Riptide, which I have to overcharge).

In anycase, if Ravagers aren't cutting it against AV12 and up, I could always Deep Strike them behind to get access to AV10 if the situation calls for it..

Well with 2 full crisis units, a riptide, and a lot of fast moving dark Eldar then I don't think the ravagerrs will be under a great deal of fire. Give them night shields and they should be fine. You have more dangerous units in your list worth twice the points which opponents will be targeting first. Your ravagers should have a decent amount of time unmolested depending how the game goes. Wether your winning or losing. Don't forget that with the way their front prow is shaped it is easy to keep the majority of the skimmer in cover while still being able to fire as the front armour stretches down the side technically
