Thanks for the comments!
The black was pretty simple really... I primed them black (obviously) then gave them a spray from above with my airbrush using Vallejo Model Air German Grey, then US Grey (just shoulders and helmets). Then (and this is how the matte finish is achieved) a liberal wash of Nuln Oil. Then it was just some edge highlights of Vallejo Model Color Basalt Grey followed by London Grey.
