I have a thought I'm going to have to try out.
Since I've seen some truly spectacular OSL jobs and some truly ghastly ones.
As a photog I have colored gels for lighting mods on my speedlite.
Why not simply use a gel with a flashligth for truly authentic coloured light.
A pic as reference to work with.
I use the Lee Filters Designers swatchbook. Approc 300 filter swatches to playwih.
Big enough to fit my speedlite.
More colored gels than i can ever think of using.

I may be an donkey-cave, but at least I'm an equal oppurtunity donkey-cave...
