Hi All,
We are currently contemplating our first release in 2015. We are looking at WWII Winter Russians or Pirates. What do you think?

Cheers

The pirates are very characterful, but I like them both.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Great! Glad you like them. I will post more photos as they become available.

Curious about your Early Imperial Romans - what shield transfers fits the legionaries (rectangular shield)? Are they the same size as another range? I found these with a quick search:

The Littlebigmenstudios shield transfers are perfect for our minis. They are the right size, really nice and save hours of painting

Both look very nice. Warlord has just released their plastic Late-War Russians, which could either hamper or help sales, depending on if consumers skip them entirely or decide to use them to add to their existing armies for a bit of metal colour, given that metal can do poses which plastic can't (particularly plastic multipose).
