Hey everyone!

I'm a new player looking to get started playing/collecting 40k. I actually used to play back in the dark ages of 3rd edition but, well, let's just say that my collection came to an unfortunate end (still sad after all this time...) Anyway: right now I'm mostly looking to find players/events in the Portland Metro area that would be cool with me using my vast collection of AT-43 stuff to proxy armies while I slowly and ponderously build up a decent collection.

I'm also a professional author and am looking to start doing a few 40k fan-fictions just for the heck of it (come on: who doesn't love the 40k fluff?)

If you're interested hit up the Black Library guys, I believe they constantly look for authors. Once you're in, they will give you all the reference material you need in order to write about the 40K universe. If you haven't already that is, loads of short story publications in their library, with many authors.
