Subject: What models for minotaurs army?

So it happened. I fell in love with the Minotaurs.
I was thinking that i could use the grey knights strike force mixed with minotaurs forgeworld shoulderpads and etched brass/transfers sheet, in lieu of readily accessable mk8 armour. Do you guys think this would work?
what models do you think would work better? Thanks.

Personally, I'd not use GK kits, there are just so many details that are specific to them that it would be an absolute ton of work to erase all of them and make it look neat. Honestly, I'd just use the normal SM kit, maybe dig up a few extra MkVIII torsos on Ebay (or find a way to convert them, I think there's a few tutorials out there). Remember, the Minos do have more MkVIII that most Chapters, but it's still pretty rare, it's not like they all have a full suit of it.

I'd use normal SM kits, but once they're converted up, they'll look awesome. Like Paradigm said, MKVIII suits are apparently still rare, even among the Minotaurs.

Okay, so I've run into this same problem. I leave MKVIII suits for veterans. Otherwise, I think the Forgeworld transfers and shoulder pads work quite well to make the force stand out. Best luck!

They are standard marines. Use standard marines and FW shoulder pads. If you really want to go hard core, pick up aftermarket greek looking helms. Should be pretty easy to find.
|
If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM! |

Okay thanks for advice guys. I think I will go normal marines with anvil's heads and Greek round shields for storm shields, with forgeworld transfers, etched brass and shoulderpads.
The last thing I am trying to source is loincloths like the one the space marine captain has. I did some googling but looks like I might need to learn green stuffing
