I will be playing a 3500 point game against a daemon player. We are playing in a narrative campaign. we both are taking "fluff lists" based on the roles our armies play in the narrative campaign. All i know about his force is that he runs Kairos fateweaver and a herald of Tzeencth. I have never faced 7th ed. daemons with my 7th ed GK. I know it should probably be straight forward, but I wanted to get some opinions on what to include and how to use them. The way i see it is if he is running tzeench heavy then i probably need to get in CC as fst as possible and not try to shoot it out. also i figure there is a good possibility of some MC so the dreadknigths are to combat that. I am specifically considering running a dual NSF list so that 90% of my army can come in turn 1 form deep strike.
The "Library" force I take stuff from basically includes 2 full terminator squads, a full paladin squad, 3 full purifier squads, each with 4 psycannons, one interceptor squad, 4 dread knights, 4 rifleman dreadnoughts, 3 las-backs, 3 rhinos, A storm raven, 2 land raiders, my special character Librarian, a techmarine, and the small allied inquisition detachment I have that consists of an inquisitor, 10 psykers, 4 jokaro, 3 crusaders, 3 power armored acolytes, and 2 priests.
My cuurent plan is 2 Nemesis Strike Forces consisting of the following
Force 1:
HQ Septimus Vaul (librarian) ML3, Force sword, storm bolter, coordinated reserves (+1 on reserve rolls)*, Storm Shield*, DLD
Elite Paladin Squad: Animus Apothecary, Melta bombs, Narthecium,Nemisis force sword x6, Storm Bolter x5, Daemon Hammer x3, nemesis Banner, Incinerators x4, force halberd
Troops Terminator Squad, Tertium Primus Terminator Armour x10, Daemon Hammer x1, incinerator x1, Storm bolter x9, Nemesis force sword x9, melta bombs
FA Interceptor squad: Celeritus [ML 1] Banishment, Hammerhand, Personal teleporters x10, Nemesis falchion x2, Nemesis force halberd x7, Nemesis warding stave, Storm Bolter x10, Melta Bombs
HS Dread Knight Ura'el Heavy incinerator, Nemesis greatsword and power fist, Personal teleporter, [ML 1] Banishment, Sanctuary
HS Dread Knight Azra'el Heavy Psycannon, Gattling Psilencer, Nemesis Daemon Hammer and power fist, Personal teleporter, [ML 1] Banishment, Sanctuary
Force 2:
HQ Inquisitor Severus Vaul artificer armor ,force sword, ML2, deep strike, Bone shards of Solor*
HQ Tech Marine Haphestus Vulk Artificer armour, bolt gun, Power axe, grenades, Servo-harness
Troops Terminator Squad, Tertium Secundus Terminator Armour x10, Daemon Hammer x1, Incinerator x1, Storm bolter x9, Nemesis force sword x9, melta bombs
Elite Purifier squad: Jubar Nemesis force sword x 6, Storm bolter x6, psycannons x4, melta bombs
FA Storm Raven Invictus lascannon, multimelta
Elite Dreadnought: Lucious [ML 1] Banishment, Sanctuary, Searchlight, smoke launchers, Twin Linked Autocannon x2, Venerable
Elite Dreadnought: Titus [ML 1] Banishment, Sanctuary, Searchlight, smoke launchers, Twin Linked Autocannon x2, Venerable
HS Dread Knight Raja'el Heavy incinerator, Nemesis greatsword and power fist, Personal teleporter, [ML 1] Banishment, Sanctuary
HS Dread Knight Jibri'el Heavy incinerator, Nemesis greatsword and power fist, Personal teleporter, [ML 1] Banishment, Sanctuary
FA Razorback: Impestus Searchlight, Smoke launchers, Storm bolter, Twin Linked Lascannon
*things my characters have picked up as result of the campaign.
What do yall think?
I'm posting this in tactics because i think the question is more tactical than just dealing with a list.

That was the tactics question. I am fairly certain that is the list I am going to take. I am looking to see if my tactical approach is sound. CC against the troop daemons and use the mech stuff to kill Greater Daemon MC's and other hard to kill stuff like soul grinders and stuff. I know grey knights have an anti daemon rules set, but that doesn't necessarily mean its easy to kill everything they have to offer, and the validity of the tactics and strategy i outlined against daemons is my tactics question.

You are very low on anti air units, would probably be my only concern. With a "fluffy" tzeentch list you should expect near unkillable flying daemon princes and probably lots of them. And every squad needs a warding staff, a good idea might be to have 2 staffs in every squad and then combat squad everything, so you don't lose out on warp charges to dispel all his witchfire and blessings.

You actually gain warp charges for combat squadding. I second the Warding Staffs... If he plays shooty with his psychic powers, then you'll have a very easy time denying... Especially with the ability to reroll ones.
I'd suggest moving the psycannons off the purifiers and onto the terminators, since they are salvo weapons... And then put incinerators onto the purifiers.

Actually, you asked no questions, just made statements. And your statements seem to point to army building, not tactics. Probably got lost in translation.

If it's a fluffy narrative campaign why do you have four Dreadknights? That's very unfluffy isn't it?

At 3500 points I think 4 dreadknights is fine for a fluffy game.

I have 4 dreadknights at 3500 points. I usually only take 1-2 when I use 1 FOC. and in at least one of the three battles so far,in the campaign i didn't take one. NDK's were developed to fight greater daemons, i think fielding that many on that point scale is very fluffy. If F took 4 against guard or green tide orks id agree it was not fluffy. but in a fight against daemons, where they will be fighting greater daemons, which is their fluff stated intended purpose, i think it is pretty fluffy.
Also i have a 5500 strike force to pull battle forces from. In a full strike force for a Grey Knights campaign of that size 4 dread knights isn't a whole lot.

Dreadknights dueling Great Demons sounds awesome and very fluffy.
I think your idea of getting into CC as fast as possible is situational. With a 3500 pt list he's sure to have a large variety of units. Some may be shooty and some not. I don't think you have much to worry about against their shooting with your 2+ saves and Aegis Deny the Witch rolls. But he has plenty to fear from your shooting. So you should shoot stuff when you can and only get into melee fights when you can't avoid it or when you know you'll win. Use your shooting to mow down the smaller stuff and punch out the bigger stuff.

Couple reminders.
1. Cleansing Flame: auto-hits period, LoS not required, no Jinking, 2D6 hits. That is going to hurt period, FMC (Nurgle non-withstanding) are pretty likely to get grounded by this. You will need this. Remember to Combat squad within the Rhino for two of them.
2. Stormravens: You got one, so remember his only job is essentially to ground the fliers. Expect this to go down.
3. Psychic warfare: The psychic phase is going to be a cluster-feth of denying, it's going to be a stalemate for the most part in the beginning, but when one unit falls a cascade effect is going to happen. First Blood is important.

I meant that there aren't many Dreadknights in the 40k universe ( AFAIK) so it doesn't make sense to have 4 all in one place. I'd say 2 maximum.

Oh I see, I dont know much about the fluff myself but I'd say if there's an outbreak of demon incursion of this size then possibly 4 could be in the same place.

Considering you can find 9 DKs at 1850pts, 4 at 3500 is a bit low.
