Relic Stolen – Blood Angels Go To DefCon Alert Level 2

Late Breaking news from the Chapel of The True Blood in the Cataleen Sector. An unidentified sacred Relic is reported
to have been removed from the Chapel by a group of Space Marines claiming to be on an archeological expedition.
Our news desk was able to obtain Cam-pod images. They show how a day of veneration became an afternoon of bolter fire, parry and thrust.

Several squads of our ever brave Blood Angels accompanied Librarian Corpusilous to pay homage to the ashes of Saint Gwendolyn.
Their meditations were interrupted by the plaintive cries of the Chapel curator running toward them. “They’ve taken the Relic!”.

On the roof of the ruins of the old chapel to their left, the Blood Angels spotted Space Marines with Raven markings.

Here we can see a red box apparently containing the Relic and two squads of Ravens in defensive positions.

The squad behind the wall is packing plasma

Librarian Corpusilous orders First Squad to apprehend the Ravens at the wall.

On the right, Second Squad moves across a field to bring the old chapel in range

As Second Squad advances, a sudden loud crack rents the air and a squad of terminators
materialize to their left. Leading the terminators was the dreaded Librarian Vincent the Reckless.

A Blood Angel Speeder that had been patrolling nearby arrives and takes aim on the terminators

A gout of heavy flamer incinerates two of the Raven renegades.

Vincent and the remaining terminators charged into Second squad with a crash that could be heard across the fields.

The terminators sent the Second Squad reeling and turned their attention on the Speeder which was
moving to assist First Squad at the old chapel. A lucky shot hit an oil reserve starting a small fire and shaking the crew.

The First Squad opens up on the Ravens by the Chapel of The True Blood

Their aim is true, wounding all but the sergeant who staggers backward toward the old chapel.

The Speeder slows to put out the fire and just avoids a missile from the old chapel.

With the fire out, the Speeder moves on the old chapel.

While the Raven sergeant braces for his last stand, the First Squad moves past, their eyes on the Relic,
leaving the sergeant to the Speeder

Miraculously, the Raven sergeant dodges a well-aimed Multi Melta shot and escapes to the old chapel

Suddenly, Librarian Corpusilous orders the Speeder to the Urn of Saint Gwedilyn’s ashes. The mad Vincent the Reckless
has turned a destructive eye on the venerated remains. The Speeder rushes in all haste to shield the Urn.

At the old chapel, First Squad puts fire on the Ravens, wounding several

The Ravens made a break with the Relic before First Squad could close.
The Terminators were called back as apparently their goal had been achieved.

The matter is being considered at the highest levels in the Chapter. It is rumored a note of protest
has been sent to the Raven camp.
Although considered to be a minor Stratus VII icon, the Relic is a valued item to the community.
Security has been increased at all relevant facilities containing items of interest to the Chapter.
We will report the latest developments as they happen.
