I've just created my first 1500 point army of Khorne CSM Space Marines and wanted to make another army or add something on to it, but preferably get a new army because I like the 1500 point game times. My two ideas, Word Bearers army (I really like Word Bearers in general just everything about them), Chaos Renegades(I like the mentality of tons of worshipers of chaos not equipped in power armor, but in their own anger and hate. I don't have TO MUCH money, but I'm willing to invest a fair amount. Also, if I was going to go CRs I would need to get imperial armor 13 and also, I saw the new HH Word Bearers Contemptor Dread and stared at it for 10 minutes in till my brain started to liquefy. So is the things added in the Imperial Armor worth its outrages price of a new codex for I don't know exactly how much is offered when I could just be starting my Word Bearers army. Any thoughts and units I should include for your favored army include below

Well, that, and the army looks amazing. If you don't wanna shell out tons for the conversion kits, on top of the Cadian boxes you need to go with them, you can always use the DV chaos cultists for the bulk of your conscripts, since lasguns and autoguns are basically the same. Just don't use cultists in your CSM army, or it could get pretty confusing.

I do agree, though, that the new Word Bearers Dread looks awesome. I did the same thing today

Why not both? Main army as Renegades with a small Word Bearers ally (Dark Apostle, a mob of Cultists and maybe some Chosen) and you'd have a really fluffy army.

I just thought bout that! I may do that... But since I got dat on lock down I have 2 questions how often are these books updated (don't want to buy it just for it to be replaced and which army should I start first?

They aren't updated too often, but that comes down to how often FW feels they need to update them and have time to do so.

Renegades is so awesome. After my current project I plan on adding a renegades army to my Death Guard

Renegades get my vote. That chaos contemptor is sweet, but there's so many good models in a renegade force. Plus, I think it'd be more fun/flexible to play, YMMV.

I would recommend getting Imperial Armour 13 even if it is just to supplement your Khorne CSM.

Considering your low budget I would recommend the renegades and heretics army. You can pick up second hand IG models to use as troops and the majority of the units in the army are either going for cheap on ebay or you can scratch build suitable models fairly easy.
