Howdy!

Whilst I've been picking up models for a few years, I've only really caught the 40K bug this year. Thanks entirely to a very cool, laid back manager at my local GW store; his contrast in attitude intrigued me enough to start buying and painting to play. His laissez faire approach even caused my partner in crime to drop his guard long enough to pick up a Dark Eldar force, despite decades of resistance. Bless that dude, though my wallet and dining table's veneer may hold a grudge.

Despite jumping in and reading as much fluff as I can get my buttery hands on, I am yet to play a game, or truly learn the rules. I'm racking up a little Ork army to satiate my conversion bug (and quite frankly, their humour and tenacity appeals to me), and an Imperial army of.. pure fabulousness. I can't leave things alone, so playing a "straight faced", neatly painted and efficient force is pretty exciting.

I am always coming across Dakka as search results for my online queries, so I'm really happy to be here, and finally thank folks when they share info. This week I'm aiming to finish* two of the most conversion heavy vehicles, and start a massive, labour of love repair job, so I'm hoping that I can call on the great minds here to advise when/before I screw up.

*Though you're never really finished with Ork vehicles...

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

Always good to have more Ork players around, and even though I don't understand the whole butter obsession, you will fit in fine here haha. Would love to see some of your conversions.
