So I've been playing a few games with my Tyranids lately. Most have been 1500 or smaller, and based on them, I wanted to update my 2000 point list. I never realized how good the Zoanthropes were for both Synapse and the benefit of their psychic powers. So this is my 2k list adjusted with some other things that seem interesting.
I'm just looking for some general thoughts. If this list makes sense? Its not meant to be competitive, just fun to play.
General strategy was to split the warriors with one group of gaunts and the zoans with the other while the Tyrant flies around and targets specific things. The deathleaper will either infiltrate or DS. To help specifically target the Mawloc. Raveners are there to get into assault asap and tie up some danger or quickly hit light vehicles. Carnifexes are walking shields for venomthrope. Hive guard are there to bust up stuff thats hiding.
If you like Zoey, and who doesn't? Take a look at some lists I posted called "Psycho" If you go twin CAD you have 6 slots available, so you could have a bucket load of Warp charges. (up to 12 plus the Tyrant(s) )
Looks fun only things I'd maybe suggest is swap one hive guard for another Venom as the Venom is a walking target. Then find a way of splitting up the hormogaunts, 60 is a nice number but would rather have 3x20 or 4x15, provides more cover for your movement forwards and splits enemies fire up
