So anyone have any theories regarding why Magnus shows interest in Sharrowkyn?

Spoiler:
At the end of Seventh Serpent, Alpharius doesn't fight Sharrowkyn stating that Magnus asked him not to kill Sharrowkyn and just walks away hinting at something happening upon Deliverance

I just assume even Magnus enjoyed the heaping helping of a**-whupping he laid down on Lucius.

For the "best duelist of the Emperor's Children" Lucius seems to be getting regular servings of cans of whoopass

Spoiler:
The only badass moment I can recall of Lucius's is when he took on the Chaos enhanced governor(?) on Istvaan III. Otherwise, Gavriel Loken seems to have beat him in a "friendly" match, Saul Tarvitz is able to barely hold his own for a while before turning the swordfight into a MMA match in which he more or less seems to be krumping Lucius (IIRC), Sharrowkyn whoops him twice...

So, aside from Lucius and his many servings of piping hot ass-whupping, what do we think the interest was in this lone Ravenguard?

Azkalleon also sort-of-beats him in a recent short story.

As much as Sharrowkyn is a badly written Mary Sue character, I can't help but love him.

I have a theory that Magnus was the one that created the grey nights. After all, the Emp hadn't failed a species at the time they were created, magnus had.

"Oi Malc, Never mind that I'm a daemon now. I wanna get a bunch of psyker's together to bitch slap the associates you accused me of hanging with. Is that aight?"

Sharrowkyn seems to have the same shadow walking ability as the Son of Horus guy. Which can be shared. A nifty trait for a GK to have.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Maybe Magnus has a crush on him.

Come on, we're a progressive lot. Why couldn't it be true?

Magnus: "Tuehuehue, Oh Sharrow-kun!"

I'm sorry. It was a moment.

UM, maybe Sharrow does something later that, through the myriad threads of fate, somehow helps the Thousand Sons?
