Is there anywhere I can find the "assembly instruction sheet" for Orks? Specifically, Boyz, Lootas, Meganobz, and Battlewagons? I believe these were available from the GW website, but I can't find them.

I... actually don't know. Help?

The Boyz are fairly easy, you won't need an instruction sheet.

Well, granted, but I'm still not entirely sure which heads are Boyz's and which ones are Nobz's. I guess it doesn't really matter that much. =)

But still, the Meganobz and Battlewagons are fairly complicated.

(Yes, I know, my bad for buying chinese recasted figures... I didn't know any better, first time buying 40k stuff!)

They intend you to use the bigger heads on the nobs but I like to mix and match. Big heads on little boys looks good and little heads on big orks looks funny.

Yeah, I agree that really doesn't matter much: as long as it looks good, mixing and matching heads (or whatever) isn't a problem.

But I'm still kinda stumped on the Battlewagon and Meganobz. YouTube videos help some, but it's still not an optimal solution.

I usually look to youtube for assembly videos/ painting videos because they help to put painting into perspective wrt the assembly.

I always hate painting hard to reach spots, so youtube assembly videos help with tips about that.

This isn't really helping you answer your question, I just thought I'd chime in

When we were first getting started we ended up with lots of arms on backward (because using two right arms let us have more weapons - for example)....

So, can't say that we used directions much at all.

We've been building more and more boyz - and to be honest, we've really been enjoying finding ways to add variety. What's been fun is getting old broken boyz off of eBay and then finding fun modification ways to repair them. (A boy with a missing hand.... We added a missile launcher there. We found some speargun arm (from I don't know where) in some bits we got -- and added that to another boy who was missing an arm....

Other part to share is that as far as we can tell (from the fluff) Orks getting put back together improperly by Doks / Painboyz is the way things go....

Here are some photos of some of our non-standard builds. The one with the reversed arm was not exactly intentional

Oh yeah, I'm certainly looking forward to fiddling with the models, making customizations, etc... but right now, having almost NO experience doing any of this, it's good to have a solid base from which to start.

I'm confused. OP, did you pick up a bunch of bits from somewhere? I think the box kits come with instructions. I know the Gretchin and Trukk ones do.

But yeah, what others have said, look at example pictures and go with what looks good.

Yeah, I bought cheap recasts because I didn't know any better. I'm completely new to the game and hobby, and a friend suggested buying off this guy who sold the models significantly cheaper than other stores, and I didn't know anything regarding official models, recasting, etc. So it turns out the guy sells cheap because they're resin recasts that come in plastic baggies with no instructions or decals.

I've since bought an official Boyz box, so I've got the "Ork Mobs" sheet (which has instructions for boyz and other similar models), but I'd love the ones for the Meganobz, the BW, and the Trukk.

I can make do with YouTube videos, which in some ways is even better, but having a static reference is always good.
