Im pretty new to the game and played my first game yesterday and i have a dread knight with the great sword and it has a rule "force" we couldnt figure out what it meant and what it does can someone help me.

The force rule is in the rule book. Have you looked it up in your copy of the rules? As a hint it's a psychic power.

Its a psychic power related rule.
The Force psychic power is detailed in the main rule book in the psychic phase section. If the power is successful, all weapons in the unit that have the Force rule gain the Instant Death special rule.

Yes. Although realistically the Dreadknight has very little cause to cast Force because he's already Str10 in melee. Unless you're dealing with T6 or higher you'll already be causing instant death. Save your dice to cast sanctuary instead.

Each unit that contains a psyker can attempt to cast one instance of each power the unit knows, so long as they don't run out of warp charges. If the attempt fails, you must wait until next turn to try again with that unit.
