I finally read Stronghold Assault, and it still uses the wording that each section must be placed in contact with at least one other section, but there are no FAQS out stating it has to be in a chain as far as I can search for....

I am aware that such a FAQ did exist in 6th.

Can we now break our ADL up?

Yes, each piece must be placed in contact with at least one other piece is the only requirement.

Well, this makes the ADL alot more useful. I often have trouble planting the ADL on my shops boards, since they have built in terrain.
