So I'm going to be writing a novella about a 40k idea I have had kicking around my head for awhile now. It's not going to be for sale in any way form or fashion and instead provided simply for the love of the game and its setting :-)

It will also be entirely put up for you to enjoy!

A brief synopsis:

After the close of the Age of Apostasy many of the outer systems under Imperial control have begun to lose faith in their government, and by extension their Emperor.The System of Pax Tantum is a peaceful safe harbour located on the outer edge of the Galaxy. It has not seen significant war in over a hundred years. The system itself is home to two Space Marine Chapters destined to be forgotten by time and the Imperium of man. Both are descendants of the famed 'Iron Hands' legion, and both for their own reasons, will eventually commit the ultimate sin of Heresy. You see: a force has been awoken on the tiny scrap filled planet of Thisbe, a force long since dormant within the galaxy and believed by many to be extinct. It is not Chaos that now turns the minds of men, but the spectre of technology, progress, and of revolution towards a better way of life.

When this force awakens: the system itself will be cut off from the greater Imperium by a massive warp-storm that lasts for more than four thousand years. The inhabitants of Pax Tantum will be forced to make many changes, many adaptations, and ultimately change the very nature of their way of life. When the warp finally opens again: it will be to a new dawn.

Technology has at last re-emerged under the control of mankind...but at what price comes freedom? What price comes progress?

This novella (and its sequels) will take you through the harrowing history of the region of space destined to resist Imperial rule and ultimately become a lone beacon of hope among the otherwise darkened universe.
