What spray paint would people recommend for forge world resin as a primer in the UK? I've read a lot of posts on here and people seem to recommend Halfords, but regardless of colour Halfords has a large range! Is there a specific type I should look for? Is there a cheaper alternative from amazon etc. That does just as good a job?

And just in case there's any forge world veterans on here, are there any own brand / cheaper alternatives to fairy power spray to strip the models with as I've read mixed things about Dettol for resin

Thanks

They have a huge range of paint, but only a small portion of it is good for us. Most is glossy.

I use these, theres a beige in the cammo colours too that I like.
The black and the cammo brown are strictly paint and not primer. But frankly are fine as primer on plastic or resin figures. Would chip off metal ones quite easily though.
They do a plastic primer, you dont want that,
They do a filler primer, you dont want that either.
They do an etch primer, you dont want that.
They do clear and matte lacquers which are handy.
And theres an ArtFX range of bright matte colours that I keep meaning to try out.

Re. Stripping -
Dettol Disinfectant (get the larger bottle with the handle) 1:1 mix with water.
Works fine with FW resin, but do not try and rinse any lumpy residue or toothbrush with water until you have absolutely minimal paint left on the model. Wash with washing up liquid after to remove any oil mess left by the stripping.

If you get oily paint mess and it's all gone badly, mix some more up and soak it again. Soak the toothbrush, even, it'll come clean again.
