I am curious how long your games are? I finally got to play a few games. First games were quick using the beginner rules. Then we use the rules in the rule book but no advanced rules yet. Took us almost 2 hours. I guess we still were going through the rules to make sure we were doing it correctly. Just used Enterprise D and the Romulan Deridex.

So once you guys know the rules how long does a game last you guys? How many ships are you using?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Auticus wrote: Or in summation: its ok to exploit shoddy points because those are rules and gamers exist to find rules loopholes (they are still "legal"), but if the same force can be composed without structure, it emotionally feels "wrong".

Most 120 point games last me and hour and a half.

About a hour for 100-120 if both people know all the basic rules.

Mostly, on my phone.

We tend to get 2 games into about 2 1/2 hrs, though that's with some inevitable dicking about and pretending that the waffle box is an extra cube.

If I have an opponent that is good with the rules we can play 100-150 in an hour. I haven't seen an OP game go to time in quite a while.

It's about an hour for 100 points. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Really depends on scenario, knowledge of rules, and fleet composition.
