i was looking through my box of spare bitz and i realised how little ultramarine specific bitz there are (i collect ultras myself) and of course I know how there are many characters such as calger, sicarius and chronous to name a few but i would happily give up a few of them to have a ultramarine specific terminators like the darkangel's have or a tactical squad like the blood angles. i am sure they would be a big seller and i do know the shoulder pads you can buy from fw and gw but i feel there should be more. what do you think about the subject of more chapter specific sets? looking forward to reading your ideas

They do have the Honour Guard as well, those guys are pretty covered in Ultra-bling.

As for more Chapter-specific kits, I don't like the idea. The Deathwing and the Space Wolf PA/TDA kits are fine, as they actually represent different units to the 'standard' PA/TDA sets, but things like the new BA kits (while they do look stunning) are really not hugely neccessary. Most Chapters don't deviate from the standard look too much, colours and icons being the only difference, and those can be had as transfers or freehanded easily enough.

One of the drawbacks of being the generic chapter is that we don’t get a lot of unique stuff. But that said, there is a chunk out there.

The Honour guard box is Ultramarine specific.
Tyranid War Veterans, while only 4 sculpts, are very nice minis.
All the named characters. And we get a bunch.
The Venerable Dreadnought kit includes a stabbed nid head torso plate; This is the banner for the UM 3rd co.
There is an Ultramarine shoulder pad in the multi-part commander kit. We are also represented for banner toppers and drop pod doors.

While I would love to get more sculpted iconography, there is not a lot we need. And besides the chapter symbol, what you you use to differentiate?

If they could capture the TWVs in a plastic kit, I’d be all over that. But when you switch from mono-pose to multi-part you tend to loose a lot of character.

You can bits order 10 ultra pads from GW.

FW is going to have ultra bling out the nose in two or three months.

Is there a permanent stickied thread for Chaos players to complain every time someone/anyone gets models or rules besides them? If not, there should be.

point taken, i thought the blood angles were ok but that was just because of the nice torsos

i myself have most of the ones you said but i do not think it would kill games workshop to maybe do an upgrade kit with a few torsos, legs and shoulder pads (yes,i know they sell them but maybe some cool squad insignia) and maybe some of the other well collected chapters
