I am planning to get severin loth from FW
However i already have Lugft huron

Is it ok to field these in one army or will i need to use them as allies to get both characters in?

In accordance with Codex: Space Marines, each detachment is restricted to only one Chapter Tactics, so if you want to use both in one army you'll need to have one detachment of Astral Claws and one of Red Scorpions. This doesn't have to use the Allied Detachment in the rulebook, it could well be two Combined Arms Detachments. The SM Codex gives you specific allowance to use the Allied Detachment despite having the same Faction ("Space Marines").
