No. Heavy Weapons Squads and Special Weapons Squads don't have the Combined Squad special rule. That rule only applies to Infantry Squads. That is, the unit named "Infantry Squad" not just any squad made up of infantry.

Negative. Only the same infantry squads can combine from the same platoon.

I just want to be able to zap away a full terminator squad every turn... Is this too much to ask?

Fill a company command squad, veteran squad or stormtrooper squad with plasma guns. Use a Leman Russ Exterminator with plasma sponsons. Unleash Pask in a Punisher with Plasma Sponsons. Bring squadrons of Armoured Sentinels armed with Plasma Cannons. You'll notice the common theme here is plasma... Infantry Platoons have a definite lack of it.

1. Take more than 1 HWS
2. Take 2 CCS
3. Throw orders around
4. Win
As an optional step 2.5, add Commissars to the HWS, to boost Ld. You get to take 3+ if you have 2 CCS and at least 1 platoon command squad.
A Primaris Psyker might help there, too.

1000k Points, I would make 2 40 man blobs with lascannons, 2 priests, a psyker, 1 ccs, 1 commissar, hereticus/xenos inquisitor. Then maybe a 40 man blob of conscripts ith the commissar. People will be hard pressed to remove that and your lascannons will kill tanks and monstrous creatures. Their melee will kill anything really. Conscripts to engage in quick melee units. two lvl 1 divination psykers. He got a psyker with those terminators. My hereticus inquistor says my frfsrf blob will hit with 100 bs 10 lasgun shots. Good luck my imperial brothers.

Just, take five squads of heavy weapons with lazcannons, and sit behind an ADL, with tons of infantry manning it . Then laugh.

Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

I wish you could, I have always dreamed of taking 1 or 2 infantry squads with a heavy weapon and putting a HWS into it, would be prefect mix of firepower and ablative wounds.
