I'm planning in the future to make a white scar army and in the fast attack section I have been torn between 2 unit types. I'm planning to fill the FA slots with these units to give me as many squads/units as possible on the board as I love the idea of mass numbers of bikes zooming around . The options are either:

- 3 units of 3 attack bikes each, all with multi melta's, v good anti armour so definitely has to be dealt with by alot of armies which will draw some of the fire power.
- 3 units of 10 scout bikers, 3 astartes gren launchers and sgt with combi grav in each squad, these can combat squadded so will give me 6 units for the enemy to think about and offer some good anti infantry and good anti light armour, and with outflank that offers another thing to think about for the enemy

The rest of the army has troop bike squads with lots of grav goodness and an att bike with MM in each squad so either FA choice will prove useful in either maximising anti armour or increasing anti infantry. Would love to know which would be better and to know your experiences with both choices (did they make their points back ect).

Thanks

You can use Scout bikes to scout your indeps forward and to lay minefields (is it still in effect?). Or could probably utilise their scout ability to ride on a flank for faster t1 support. One squad ain't bad - but i'd not spam them.
They're not really worth it for pure fighting purposes. Not bad but regular SM bikers will do it better. Scout nade launchers are mediocre.

I’ve got a small squad of scout bikes I occasionally field. They have all sorts of special tricks and rules, look cool, and are fun. I’d not spam them though. If you are only choosing between the two units, I’d take two attack bike squads and one scout. But I’d recommend taking some talons to fly air cover, or some speeders for fire support.

I am not sure scout bikes really help in a white scars list. The biggest use for them was to scout forward and use their homers to guide in drop pods and deep strikes. I am not sure a white scars bike list really needs this.

Attack bikes used to be great. But with the new costing of bikes, you gain more benefit from just more bikers. The only way I would add them is to fill out my normal bike squads in order to combat squad them.
