Not to sure what to say here. I've been reading Dakka for a long time, but wasn't quite sure I'd have anything pertinent to add so I never created an account. I've been on a hiatus from minis for the last year and a half as adult life compounded with a bit of drama (I hate drama) somewhat exploded the group with which I used to play. I enjoy painting and modelling more than playing honestly, but playing also tends to generate new ideas for conversions and scenery so...

So now I'm trying to get back into it after almost 2 years away from miniature gaming. (I spent the time doing other nerdy stuff like RPGs, CCGs and making indy movies)
I'm mostly a 40k player (though I haven't had the time to check out 7th ed yet), although I'll paint just about any mini that catches my eye. My gaming room is a testimony to the fact that a lot of stuff catches my eye. :p

Eldar remain my first love, and I have 9k (including a titan) of them, but I also have Dark Angels and CSMs in reasonable quantities, mostly because I like the models.

I've been playing minis since 1998, and I've tried a lot of games along the way, but although I have minis from at least 8 of them, 40k is the only one I really enjoy playing. (Well, I also enjoy playing Blood Bowl, but only when I win o.O)

So um, yeah... I also have a tendency to ramble...
