A buddy tells me my bikes can't go up floors in 7th edition.

No. In previous editions there were rules for ruins that prevented bikes and calvary from going up floors. But those rules are gone now so nothing is restricting them from doing so,

Even worse: there are no more rules for different floors/levels.

This is why our group house ruled it to the 6th edition rules.

Yep, 7th edition bikes are spiderbikes.

I recommend houseruling it to play with 6th edition rules for ruins, which limits the movements of bikes, limits the effectiveness of template and barrage weapons, and gives some better explanations of how you move and assault within ruins. They make more sense.

Vertical terrain really bothers some players. Walk infantry over a 3" vertical face all day long, drive a rhino over it and they go batcrap crazy.
