Hey guys i am trying to put together a clone army right now for 40k and i was wondering if anyone knows of any model kits of vehicles that are scale apropriate for 40k? I am looking for vehicles to sub as land raiders, taurox primes, valkyries, storm talons, and firehawk(that forgeworld space marine ship that is based on the storm raven).

Sorry in advance... I have no idea for vehicles OR infantry, but since you only asked about vehicles I assume you have a plan for infantry? If it's more of a kit bash (and not 90% green stuff like the link) I would love to know what type of bits you are planning to use or have already used.

Hobbylink japan and e2046 both have a decent range of resin [and some plastic] sci fi vehicles in 1/48 [closest scale to 40k's 1/56 scale]

Already have plans for the troops and jedi. The troops are shamelessly stolen from someone else and is a super easy conversion: http://www.agisn.de/FuCo_Examples_CloneTrooper.jpg
Its just the Eisenkern models from dreamforge with a head swap for the clone trooper heads from WoTC soft plastic star wars models.
I am not that great with greenstuff or doing allot of conversion work that isn't mashing kits together or something so I am trying to avoid doing allot of that which is why that other guys clone trooper army doesnt help me too much.

ya know, I tried to source those once after seeing this same pic and you might be surprised how hard those heads are to find at a reasonable price.
have you sourced any yet?

Wow, that totally works. Headswap and you're done. Awesome.

Yeah, my greenstuff work is poor but I do like gluing random bits together and coming up with something different. In this case though you don't need to which is great...

you could prolly use these ones as well:

The only issue that I ran into so far, I only have 1 test model put together. Is that the paint is hard to strip. The basecoat that WoTC uses is not acrilic. Its almost a rubber paint that will not come off using most stipping techniques like goo be gone, simple green, super clean, etc. I did find however that since its a small area, just the head, if you take an old toothbrush and some acetone you can do some quick scrubs with it and it will come off like magic. You have to be careful though because too much and the plastic will start to melt as well. Also make sure you use gloves when dealing with acetone.

Check what scale regular star wars vehicle models are, 1/48 is great scale for 28mm heroic scale (1/56 is true 28mm, but GW bases are tall, which adds almost a foot in scale to a human sized model, so 1/48 looks better) 1/72 is tiny and much to small.
Many time the scale is not on SW models, but with a little Interwebs search or Dakka, you should be able to find some that work?
Revell owns a license; http://www.revell.com/model-kits/entertainment/starwars.html
Not sure about the examples below, so double check, and once found, shop around; http://www.hobbylinc.com/revell-monogram-aat-snap-tite-plastic-model-spacecraft-kit-1:50-scale-851871
If I remember correctly, the Darth Vader shuttle is good size;

I think there is an x-wing model that is 1/48; http://www.amazon.com/Fine-Molds-Stars-X-Wing-Fighter/dp/B000WOX6C8/ref=sr_1_46?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1426195432&sr=1-46&keywords=star+wars+plastic+model
.
There are a ton of other than GW third party miniatures; http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/AFTERLIFE/Republic
Just need to root around to find some you think are suitable.

I have the revell snap fit republic gunship kit - you can still find it at a lot of hobby stores, and its a decent valk replacement.
Fill some gaps, but 40k weapons on it, and this might be a good land raider...
http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Republic-Fighter-Vehicle/dp/B00ABUGHCY/ref=sr_1_1?
Its pretty big, but painted up,might look cool.
