Here's my first Blood Angels Stormraven Gunship (though I actually have an Ultramarines and GK one already)! I airbrushed this in like-colored subassemblies and the top off the fuselage. I pretty much left it in pieces, right up to doing all the details, and assembled it only after everything was complete. I was trying to figure out a "quick" way to paint the Stormraven, since I would like about 3 Blood Angels themed Stormravens, for the formation. The others in the formation will not have Hurricane Bolters.

I had wanted to finish in about 10 hours, but I didn't even come close; in the end, it took closer to 20+, I think. The inside of the model is actually painted too, though not shown in this pic -- a last minute thing, since it seemed incomplete not looking nice with the access points open. Also, you can't see it in the photo very well, but all the edges have 2 levels of highlights (one soft, wide highlihgt, and a second fine highlight), which makes quite a difference when looking at the actual model.

Sadly, the angle on the front ramp is terrible is and focusing the camera is a pain, because I don't have a macro lens. The back ramp is a little better, but not by much.

On my next one, I plan to have one or both side doors open, with space marines hanging out the doors (shooting), which I think will look kind of cool, and light the interior. It was my original plan for this one, but I realized that I didn't have a Hurricane Bolter Stormraven yet. Oh yes, I will take a pic with the top off next time (before it's assembled)

I really like the engines. Great choice not making them black like most of the others I've seen (including my own...)

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the particulate.
