Not nearly as nice as what was posted, but if you are looking for cheap Grots you cant go wrong with the Deadzone Mutants. A box of 4 costs me $15.00 and with a little conversion they don't look too bad.

I used Isle of Blood rat orges (still cheap on Ebay) and the extra bits from a Talos (tons of masks, chains, and other cutty bits) and a little bit of green stuff to fill in the cracks. All in all, other than my laziness in painting them, they came out quite well and for about $10 or less apiece on average.

I wish Games Workshop would just sell Grotesques in a pack of 3 for $40 or something. At its current price, it costs almost as much for 3 Grotesques as 3 Centurions... a little crazy, no? O.o

They cost an insane amount of money. I, like everyone in this habit ... I mean hobby, have spent an exorbitant amount of money. I refuse to pay $25 for one model that can be taken in units of ten, and that $250 unit has ten of the same exact model. Don't be lazy and then spit in my face GW.
I love the ideas everyone. Thank you.

You can pick up a bunch of cheap ogre/troll/assorted "big" monster models from the cheaper models that are probably available at your local game store. Reaper, for instance. I picked up a bunch of such models recently and painted them fleshy colors. They don't have wrack masks, but who says grotesques need masks anyway? If your monstrous creations need special masks to obey you, you clearly haven't trained them with pain-based programming well enough.

ATTENTION. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.
