So,

I recently bought Imperial Assault because I love FFG so far and this game looks to be a good investment for the painting that I still like to do (ex - 40K player) and the game looks to be fun to play. Then I start to thinking that FFG is going to have tournaments for the game using the Skirmish and I think "Wow, this should be really cool to play in tournament." Then I'm reading the command cards and I realize.. "If I can't attack twice, a lot of these cards have wasted abilities."

Maybe I have to read the FAQ to catch up, but to even start to build an army for a 40 pt tournament... has anyone thought about it or begun to put together lists? There is a tournament next month at a place I play and i want to use the Imperials with bounty hunter allies but I feel like I'm not sure where to begin. Has anyone else started thinking about organized play?

From my grand experience of playing 2 skirmish games, the main advice would seem to be. Play to your missions. Have a strategy for every mission that comes up for whatever army you take.

To be honest, the sense I really got was that it didn't really matter about the precise make up of your army. What mattered is only whether you had the general tools for the mission.

for example darth vader is not for just running into your enemies and taking them all out. He seemed to me to be more for area denial and forcing enemies to come to him.
