Let's do some math.
A box of flash gitz is $53.
5 flash gitz per box.
10 flash gitz is $106
Kaptin Badrukk (me or not me-you decide) is $22.25
Total so far: $128.25
Price of box: $130
130-128.25=1.75
So no, you do not save 50 bucks buying it. In fact, you spend $1.75 more than you should.
Ammo runts appear to come free of charge.

I calculated the price with the GW ammo runts which you get in the box.

17.25x3=51.75
128.25+51.75=155.25
Your math is still a little off. You actually save $25.25

Had Badrukk's flash gitz been a web bundle (like Flash Gitz on a roll), it would have been $155.25

Be aware that the boxed set in question is also a formation from the second Sanctus Reach book, "Hour of the Wolf".

It's not the full formation, you need 20 flash gitz for the formation.

You also need 10 (or at least 5) sets of 3 different colour dice for your opponent not to cry about taking 20 minutes for one shooting phase with that unit.

OK, looks like I need more stuff. But it's OK. I'll just use them as Elites units. Because in 5th, it has Kaptin Badrukk listed in the flash gitz entry.

Why do you post such things?

Flash gits are not so bad. However, they need a transport to function properly. And it's a considerable point investment for a bunch of s5 shots in an army that doesn't really lack anti-infantry firepower.

I think they reach the peak of their effectiveness within a 20+badrukk formation when they get inside blitz brigade wagons. This way they can utilise their gitfindas early on and lay some decent ammount of s5 almost bs4 (counting in master-crafted) firepower. And don't forget they're still nobz and able to finish off stuff in mellee.

However, you can always run into a list that doesn't really care about s5 - IK, Mech lists, Flyers, T7+ MC spam. Just in this case, you can run a smaller squad of non-formation gits somewhere in your 2-d cad. Cause ther first one will usually require every HS you can get - mek guns, wagons, fw stuff.

Well they definitely not really competitive but look realy fun , so if you mostly play with friends who bring fun lists than white go , if you have 2k points or something and you want to expand in to 2.500 points than I'd say no there are alot more better stuff to get . But the look alot of fun and grots you get are unique only to this box I think!
