In List B, you cannot take Royal without a Reclaimnation Legion. Other than that, I think it is better to added in a couple Ghost Ark to make your warriors even more unkillable. Besides, at 24 inch range, the fire power of GA is equal to a 10 men Warrior squad.

I like list B. And there is nothing saying you have to take a Decurion to take a Royal Court. It is a formation. Fir the same reason you can take a reclamation Legion without a Decurion and you can take Destryoer cults with out a Decurion as well.

I like list a. But would drop barge and immortals for two ghost arks. They massively boost warriors. Also have you thought about Szaeras for +1 rp within 6 inches?

I'd suggest reclamation legion + CAD for silver tide. That or a full CAD with two ghost arks with warriors in them, then a 20 man blob to put Szeras in... Oh, and Triarch Stalkers love silver tide

I think if you are doing a silver tide you definitely need Szeras like in list B. I don't think you need any other HQ's besides him really.

I agree with the above comments. If I were building a "silver tide" list I would auto include the following
At least 2 ghost archs supporting 1-2 20 man warrior squads. They are all but indestructable now with the way reanimation works, their only weakness is assualt. Relentless helps a great deal here which has me leaning toward decurion with nemesor instead of a regular overlord.
2 or more triarch stalkers to boost bs of all those warriors, drown your enemies in a torrent of gaus Fire.
Maybe a unit of wraiths or some 5 man flayed ones to jump into tarpit potential assualt threats. Automatically Appended Next Post: To show just how indestructable here's an example. 1 turn you take 60 wounds ap- on your warriors you should save 30 and an additional 15 with reanimation, leaving 15 dead(if you took nemesor, here is where you use your red orb, yielding an additional 7 warriors saved) You then get your ghost archs pumping out an average of 4 a turn(52 points worth of warrior). You will be back to full strength by turn 5(assuming no res orb help) or turn 4 with res orb, plus nemesors 2+ save if you want to tank. You could get lucky and get more warriors but that's the average. Automatically Appended Next Post: I have never seen a 20 man warrior squad(especially one with nemesor leading) die to any amount of firepower, strength D Lynx included.

I hear what you're all saying, and the unanimity is a good indicator that it's wise. Right now I'm restricted by budget (would rather divert hobby money to Krieg and Bolt Action) but will look out for discounted Ghost Arks.
However, I have to question- is there not a point where spending points to increase survivability reaches diminishing returns? Surely there is a point where a squad of warriors is durable enough, all it needs is to be holding an objective for long enough to score victory points and anything invested beyond that is superfluous. With that in mind, has anyone actually tried ranks of unsupported warriors, whose sole job isn't to not die, but to die slowly enough to score points over enough turns?
With that strategy in mind (driven by my lack of funds to freely buy Ghost Arks!) I think the main weakness is an inability to stop the enemy reaching the objectives, and just moving off the warrior squads in assault. My solution to that is to counter with tarpits and fast moving speedbumps- a scarab farm! So here's another variant- does it look improved compared to the other two lists (accepting the fact that is lacks Ghost Arks and so may not be the best it can be- yet!).
