Hey everyone, is there anyone who still plays the Star Wars Miniatures game by Wizards of the Coast? I know the minis have been OOP for at least 4 years now, but I still have mine (over 2000 at last count). I miss playing the game, as I thought that it was very cool and I love anything Star Wars! I was curious as to whether the game still has any kind of following anywhere as I might try to sell my collection of figures to people who need them more than me (since I have no one to play the game with anymore... ).

I created a game based on GW LOTR to use the miniatures and to enjoy star wars universe and it works quite well. But also I remember I played very funny Chain Reaction games with these miniatures also. Just to say, they are still interesting to play in star wars world and you can still do things with.

I missed the original game, but I do have a Star Wars ruleset written up (ostensibly for the 50mm Star Wars Command minis, but could easily work with 28mm ones) if you are interested in having something else to use with your minis. Let me know if you'd like me to post it.

I haven't seen anyone playing that or DDM for many years. I still have over a thousand figs from DDM and around a hundred for SWM that I saved specifically for RPG purposes but I don't suspect I'll ever play it again in an organized setting.

DDM was a lot of fun, but I really didn't care for SWM, WAY too simplistic for my tastes. I do still have about a thousand figures I use for various projects. My group was playing Pulp Alley with them for a while, great ruleset and feels very star warsy

But no, I use those figures for pretty much anything EXCEPT the WotC SWM game

I used to play the game quite a bit and still have a ton of figures for it, at times I still play it with friends . It was my first miniature game, and thus I have quite fond memories of it, even if it was rather simplistic in some ways...

Still have a ton of figures, but never actually played SWM. I mostly use them for SW RPG sessions.

People still play this game. Some card stats updates are being printed by an independent group of players. The downsize is they are making too many powerhouses and causing an unbalance of the game.

I prefer the first set they release, after that all came downhill.

I have a friend that bought a bunch of SWM, played the game some, but the one time he talked us into a larger 4 player game, we played the Endor shield generator bunker scenario.

And let me tell you, spending most of the time shooting into cover and rolling 2d20, take the lower of the two, was not a fun experience.

I'm sure the game is much better than that, but that one experience turned me off bothering with it ever again.

I don't think it has been played in ages now though, as like many in this thread, he has been making his own SW game and using the figures for that instead.

I had duffel bags full of the miniatures. I threw them all in a dumpster one day under the deluded impression people would like me better if I gave up tabletop games and the hobby.

Now a days I miss playing my old 'Black and blue' lists.

My buddies and I still have our mini's, I have lots of fond memories of it. We plan on pulling them out sometime for a skirmish or two.

Do they have them on Bloo Milk? I think that's where I saw some stuff last time I tried to play... but that was back in like 2011 I think.
