Hello all, this is an old gem from 1998, some of you might remember it. This is a First Person Shooter Real Time Strategy. In it, you drive and fight within your own vehicle, while commanding other vehicles and managing a base and resources. Ultimately this is the best game I have ever played, still outmatching the mass majority of modern titles.

Another bonus, it's Free! An independent group has come together and assembled an installer for Battlezone that allows it to work on modern systems. Multiplayer is still active, and the single player campaign is excellent.

Here is a link to the download site:

There is also a Steam group for BZ called "Official Battlezone Group BZ1", it's an excellent way to find other players and find out about planned events, game nights and such. If there's interest I could also post up event dates here.

So definitely check it out when you get a chance, there's a bit of a learning curve but it's easy to get past and there are many players willing to help out.

You say Fiery Crash! I say Dynamic Entry!

*Increases Game Point Limit by 100*: Tau get two Crisis Suits and a Firewarrior. Imperial Guard get two infantry companies, artillery support, and APCs.

Probably work

I remember playing the demo in high school. Cool stuff.

Didn't realize it was released for free though. Nice find!

If anyone is interested we are hosting a Strategy Night for this game on July 10th, 8:00pm EST (GMT-4)

Essentially it's like a community night where one can easily find other opponents and get some larger battles in as there are usually more players online. We'll also be trying to host some Team Death Matches in the future, I'll try to make a post announcing those as well when they are scheduled.
