So I have asked questions and advice for the last two weeks and this is what I have come up with for my next tournament. The tournament is not a ITC event but it is using it's missions.

SO the list below is a test run for a ITC event for me.

On the list I am not sure about the Tfex.( Was thinking a Mawloc, exocrine, or a Tox's.) For the most part he will walk on the board and hold a objective n my side of the board. He can be dropped in a pod if it that seam better then dropping 3 dakka fexs. I am just worried about the tfex being able to kill thing on my side of the table if needed. I feel one of the others mc would be better at that. not sure yet. Thought on this would be appreciated.

There is no building with coms as my inner fluff bunny will not let me at this time. 2nd I don't have the models or rules books.

Any thoughts on bad match ups for this list. Unit swap outs . I know the trygon prime is not optimal and expensive. What wound you change in its place? I have reasons to take it but I would be open to other options. Sadly another tyrant is not a option for me though.

What about a Dimachaeron in a Tyrannocite? That seems pretty nasty. I'm just starting to really learn the nid codex myself, but he seems like a pretty formidable cc foe.

He is good at combat but needs to have a pod to come in as well. He doesn't provide synapse either.

So here is a revised list for the tournament this weekend. I know three guys are bring censtar. SO that made the debate about the tfex vs. Mawlocs kind of easy.

Mawloc

Mawloc

I am dropping a unit of spore mines adding one mine to each of the other units to make room for both Mawlocs. I had t pic between a egrubs or a spore mine unit. I really want to give the egrubs a chance so running 3 is necessary. Having two never did much in my other list. that's why I dropped them.

T6 3+ Armour save as you may well know is so delicate - if anything focus's it down it'll be gone in an instance.

you either go baller hard on DSing CC with fodder units to get up there to give cover ( gargoyles) or you don't bother at all.

you will notice in time that dimachaeron will often struggle to earn its worth as well. ( i've tried SO many times.)

Toxicrene is nice with 6 attacks, I6 and shrouding. 2+ in cover is awesome. I honestly prefer them in pods - just make sure you don't assault into cover.

Dimachaeron Has a place. As for earning his worth I am not sure what you mean by that.
You should be deep striking in to cover with him anyways. He should be coming in with a lot of units making him a lot less desirable to shot at. You coud run the Swarmlord the same way.

I like the Toxicrene but he has issues with basic marines in combat. His shrouded is worthless innless you are in cover. With out flesh hocks he is not that god of a unit to deepstrike.
As a backfield objective holder he does well as he gets to go first as they have to assault him.

Earn his worth = earn back his points.

any one who has faced a dima before will know that its easier to run backwards and gun it down. it's lack of assault nades and durability damages it's worthiness to your game.
I think there are better units to include in your army for 200 pts more often than not.

as for the toxicrene it is (believe it or not) somewhat more durable with shrouded. DS into a ruin and then hop out and assault your target.
I consider it slightly more worthwhile than a dima because of its -40 pts and durability to shooting ( which is where the dimachaeron dies)

CC orientated units are still not your best choice though.
