It's been said here before, but this game is pretty well balanced, especially for casual play. I would think that as long as the points balance out, you should be good to go. Focus on buying what you think looks fun more than anything! In casual games, you should be fine using card proxies for upgrades you don't own.
Here's a sample list, using only the upgrades you have, but play around on squad builders to find new options!!!
Rebels
"Leeebo" - Heavy Laser Cannon, Outrider
Dagger Squadron Pilot
Luke Skywalker - R2D2
Luke with R2D2 is fun and survivable, Leebo can jet around firing the HLC, and B wings are just kind of good and fun as is. They're usually run with Fire Control System or Advanced Sensors, but you don't have those cards. It will be fine on its own though.
Imperials
Captain Oicunn - Mara Jade, Ysanne Isard, Tactical Jammer
Carnor Jax
Acadamy Pilot
Academy Pilot
Captain Oicunn is a blast to fly, just run him into the opponent and dish out the pain. Ysanne Isard is awesome on decimators, since they have so many hull, and Mara Jades ability jives with Oicunn's. Academy pilots and Carnor Jax is just sort of filler. Academy's are good in a swarm, but 2 by themselves, and without howlrunner, isn't a huge deal. Tie Interceptors have gotten a bad rap overall, but are coming back thanks to Autothursters (which you don't have yet). But it should still be fun to fly and will be fine against the Rebel list.
Those are each 100 pts, which is pretty standard, but you aren't locked into that point value by any means. Your best bet is to just keep playing more games, and see what you like. Happy Flying!
