Anyone got a step by step guide to getting a 'worn bronze' look?

Depends on what you mean by worn bronze. Do you mean oxidized? Do you mean dirty and beaten up?

I usually do bronze the folowing way:

1) Base coat with GW Dryad Bark
2) Apply the Bronze paint of choice, I prefer GW Runelord Brass (Ignore the name, it looks like bronze the color matches better)
3) Wash with GW Agrax Earthshade
4) Go over largest areas with thin layer of Runelord Brass again.
5) If you want it to look oxidized, take a blue/green color, dilute it and wash it in the recesses. GW makes a paint specifically for this called Nihilakh Oxide. (Under technical paints on the website)

Hope that helps!

I don't know what the OP wants but I was thinking of doing a kind of battle damaged bronze. (Also I have my old paints and washes, so I guess I'll need a conversion chart for those... I assume the Earthshade is like delvan mud wash)

I would:

To paint bronze:
1. Basecoat with Balthazar Gold (which is really more like copper); you can put Rhinox Hide or Dyrad Bark beneath, if you wish
2. Wash with Agrax Earthshade or Seraphin Sepia depending on how dark you want the recesses to be
3. Layer with Sycoraze Bronze (not too heavy!), leaving recesses alone; alternatively OR drybrush a bronze very liberally

Add battle damage:
4. Drybrush "damage" with Warplock Bronze (which is a very dark metallic brown that doesn't look anything like bronze) to darken it, give it texture and wear
5. Drybrush very lightly the edges with a brighter bronze/brass (like Runelord Brass or Sycoraze Bronze) to add contrast

You can use a pin vice to make bullet/shell damage to add to it.

For additional weathering you could:

- Sponge on a bit of wash. If it's a floor plate, it's helpful to do some areas brown and some areas black.
- Drybrush some non-metallic colors like dirt
- Use a special effects paint like Typhus Corrosion for grime
- Use a special effects paint like Nilakh Oxide for bluish oxidation
