Hello! I have an upcoming tournament I am getting ready for. I am having a lot of issues making my lists. I cant decide whether or not to do the Decurion or to do a CAD. I have seen the upcoming missions and all 3 of them will be objectives. There are kill points but only as secondary's. There is a random element in the last mission which causes random objectives to explode (s10 ap2) large template! This makes me want to go Decurion for the 5+ RP (after ID lol) but don't know if its worth making my list so restricted. The CAD list I have is ALMOST Decurion but I don't have a doomsday ark to take what I wanted. Here we go.

I like the better saves on the Decurion (obviously!) but I also think that no objective secured is rough.

I love nemesor and his ability to get rerolls to your reserves round 2 can be brutal.

Whats better? Is the CAD stronger cause of my missions? Or is it better to have more resilience?

I've run a Decurion several times before and I have to say, the +1 to Reanimation is amazing and well worth the trade-off. You won't have Objective Secured and that can be a problem, I will admit, but the last 2 of 4 games I played, my opponent ran all formations, and so didn't have Objective Secured either.

The ridiculous staying power of the Decurion is hard to ignore, given the +1 Reanimation and the Reclamation's re-roll 1s. If you really want to use those 2 barges, you still can by turning one of the Ghost Arks into an Doomsday Ark.

I have played against it a few times, and loosing objective secured wasnt much of an issue for him. The tough, cheap warriors and the unkillable wraiths (the scarabs RP was a brutal surprise) kept me far away from his objectives.

If you go CAD, be sure to take a counter assault unit though. No sense in having a 5 man tac squad holding up big blobs of warriors for whole game turns
