A local school are going to be at my local GW on Saturday for some practice for their schools league. The lists have to be 600pts and combined arms, here's roughly what I was considering

Rune priest, level 2, hood

5 grey hunters, pack leader, combi melta, melta, drop pod, 4 ccw

5 grey hunters, pack leader, combi melta, melta, drop pod, 4 ccw

5 grey hunters, pack leader, combi plasma, plasma gun, drop pod, 4 ccw

5 wolf scouts

My plan is for turn one my melta packs and rune priest turn up, hopefully knock out their armour, and then pray the rest come on as soon as. Is this viable? Or would I be better off dropping the drop pods in favour of more men? I'm aware some of their lists include things like skimmed spam etc so don't want to spend too long running up the field

I would drop the plasma for more melta. Everything else is fine though melts bombs may not be a bad idea.
