So, a theoretical TAC list. Two CADs, both end up with ObSec. However, I'm going to list them as they would be deployed, since the list will make much more sense that way.
Gunwagon Squad 1
Big Mek w/MA, Killsaw, Tellport Blasta, DLS, BP
Painboy
7 Nobs, BC x 3, shootas on bc nobs
-Gunwagon w/Ram, TLBS
9 Shoota Boys + Nob w/BP, BC, shoota
-Gunwagon w/Ram, TLBS
9 Choppa Boys + Nob w/PK, BP, Shoota
-Gunwagon w/ram
Gunwagon Squad 2
9 Shoota Boys + Nob w/BP, BC
-Gunwagon w/Ram, TLBS
8 Tankbustas + Nob w/BP
-Gunwagon w/Ram, TLBS
Gunwagon Squad 3
9 Choppa Boys + Nob w/BP, BC
-Gunwagon w/Ram, TLBS
9 Flash Gitz
-Gunwagon w/Ram, TLBS
Painboy w/warbike, bp
11 Warbikers + Nob w/ PK
Traktor Gunz x 2 w/Ammo runt
In each squadron of gunwagons, I'd put the boys squads first, then the nice one, to force my opponent to shoot up the transport with the meh units first. Warbikers would move to give cover as much as possible for the first round, then zip off to chase something or another.

Hit me hard, too. I want to make a list I can just cement in place, and not have to worry about. Pack one bag, leave it packed, never have to deal with it sort of thing

I love the idea of an MA Mek with Tellyport blasta but the 12" range really kills it, but it has an awesome profile apart from that. I think a MA DLS Warboss would probably do more damage overall and it's cheaper to boot. The Warbikers might not be a great fit here if you're mainly using them for a cover save on the Gunwagon squadrons, its not unlikely that one unit will shoot at them and cause them to flee. You're using two CAD's so maybe 6 units of single Deffkoptas could fulfil the same role and give you some extra anti-tank shooting, as well as being a few extra annoyances for your opponent to deal with

Aye, I usually run the warboss MA/DLS combo. Ther Mek costs 10pts more, but that 8/2 insta death is pretty spectacular. Also, he has an ammo runt, forgot to include it.
Yeah, The bikers im on the fence about. I love 'em, but I realize they arent always the best fit. If I do drop them, I'd prolly replace them with another gunwagon squad with something, maybe like a MANZ unit. I don't like taking single deffkoptas, but I mioght consider taking several units of two.

Gun wagons are heavy support so think you have too many?
Never mind, I see 2 cads now haha
Nice list! Personally would replace big MEK with a warboss or pain boy, but that's just IMO

Yeah, i took a look at the points.
130 gives you warboss w/ MA, DLS, BP
140 gets ya mek w/ MA, DLS, BP, Killsaw, Tellyport blasta.
The warboss has +1S, T, WS, W, and LD
The Big Mek will have the same number of attacks due to dual-wielding specialist weapons ( KS and PK), will have Armorbane, can fix his ride, and has a nasty gun that he can reroll to - hit (which includes scatter), and more importantly, to wound. On an insta-kill/insta pen weapon that will almost always be wounding on 2+.
Since I might get +1S from my Warlord table, and DLS means I'm still mostly hitting on 3+ in close combat, the mek really only misses out on guarenteed insta death. There are enough characters in the unit for him to avoid being doubled or challenged for the most part. The warboss is T5, but since sll other orks are 4, the only time that helps is in challenges, and mostly I avoid those through above tactic anyway.
I've noticed this newer codex is really making big meks much better primary - HQ choices. Not that I'm bashing warbosses, goodness knows I love 'em. But with new toys, why not try combos people aren't looking for? Every time I field the big mek, people kinda chuckle at it, but then I describe the tellport/ DLS, and it stops bring funny Automatically Appended Next Post: Updated list, dropped kannons, changed biker squad

That's a nice list, I like it
How are the Gunwagon conversions coming along?
I've been using Big Meks a lot more than Warbosses lately. The versatility of their equipment really makes them a decent alternative.
And the Tellyporta Mek just looks epic! It was one model I had to have when the codex came out.

I'm working on 'em as I can. My area is pretty chill about orks counts-as, so I'm in no hurry
