I have recently joined in a campaign starting up at my local shop that combines Battlefleet Gothic and 40k (maybe even a little Necromunda if I'm lucky) into one giant system spanning conflict!

There are your basic campaign rules:
-Generate Resource Points based off the planets/ systems your faction controls
-Use those RP to buy new 40k and BFG units
-Units that die in battle take a turn to respawn at your DZ
-BFG Battles can impact the planet below (no exterminatus rules so far)

Here's the sector as it stands now at the start:
The Chaos (that's me!), Eldar, Necron, and Tau factions starts in their respective deployment zone in the corners, Imperials start on three of the Major Planets, Tyranids have invasion points that are basically deployment zones but in weird spots, Orks start their waaghs based off minor planets, and there are no Dark Eldar at the moment (though I hear we might have a DE player joining up).

Each player starts with 1000 pt BFG fleet and a 1500 pt 40k army just outside their DZ. My forces are the Marauder Legion/Fleet currently orbiting Charon's Harbor (top-left).

Plus, to get to the good stuff straight away, each player also gets a 1500pt force selected by the GM starting out on Constantia Repentia (the capitol world of the sector).

Each tile gives a unique ability to the force defending it, except for the hive cities which count as all of the other types. My boys in the Marauder Legion 2 started off at tile G4 on a shield generator (meh).

Ill update in a few days with my moves, and a bit more info on the Chaos faction special rules.

Chaos Faction Rules:
What do the forces of Chaos want with a backwater sector like this you ask?

Well the answer is simple: there are five relics of great power scattered throughout the Hyperion sector. If Chaos manages to get ahold of all the relics they automatically win the campaign. Once captured the relics grant a VP bonus and can be equipped on characters in the Chaos army. They range from meh (cause Fear and -2 Ld), to pretty good (Daemon Weapon lightning claws with +1 Str and Infiltrate), to the ultimate relic in the sector which only the GM knows what it does.

The other Chaos faction rules basically boil down to: extra VP for fighting and beating Imperials, lose VPs when Tyranids render a world into a Dead World (that's our planet to pillage and destroy, damn it!), and lastly Boons of Chaos are permanent for the entire campaign, but after gaining a boon roll a d6 and if you roll lower than the number of boons the character has he turns into a Spawn!

This last one really is the most interesting as even a cultist champion has a chance (albeit slim) to turn into a Daemon Prince for free! Some of the other boons are pretty handy too, and even with a worst case roll a Spawn is more expensive than most CSM champions anyway. The big downside is that my fancy 165pt Jugger Lord could turn into a spawn and cost me -140pts, though I can always just buy him again. To curtail this he will be doing his utmost to avoid challenges by throwing whatever champion in his squad is nearby into the way.

Opening Moves:
Marauder Legion/Fleet 1 moved out to L-2977B, but nobody was there to meet me so I take the planet and system with no resistance. Next turn I will have the choice of going after the probably undefended Eldar world of Gilgamesh, or Stigmata a major Shrine world likely still defended by an Imperial fleet larger than my fleet and a sizable force of Astra Militarum larger than my 40k forces. In my favor though I don't need to win the BFG battle to get my forces to the planet (but it does help a lot), and he has a whole planet to cover with his 1500-4500pts (starting 1500pts+~3000pts from 2 turns income) of of 40k forces.

In more exciting news Marauder Legion 2 on Constantia Repentia moved to the central Hive City on tile E5, and not surprisingly so did other forces! I will be fighting a 3-way battle with the dastardly Tau (they're dastardly, right?), and the Astra Militarum. This is great as I will get a chance to meet and figure out how good a player the AM player is since he is the same one controlling Stigmata. During the battle I will be leaning a bit more heavily towards beating the Imperial side as right now they get extra income for Dominating the planet, and that is income to be used to fight against me elsewhere!

Well that is a good size block of text, eh? I may try to do a quick Batrep of the 40k battle and post a link here with some photos and at some point I will post BFG batreps (which is half the reason I started this), but first I will need to Iron out the minor detail of not being in a BFG engagement yet.
