Looking for some imput. I have gotten hold of a FW Mk III set of power armour. I am going to use it to make a World Eaters CSM lord with jump pack. I was thinking about using the white and blue Pre-Heresy colours instead of the red that the rest of my troups use,

I am just wondering if fluff wise this would be way too out of place or maybe that it wouldn't look good with the rest of my army.

Personally I think having a white HQ would stand out and I intend on making the armour look battered and ancient as it is. Not going to make it all spikey or anything, it'll already have wings to make it jump infantry.

Anyhow, thoughts and opinions welcome!

As an HQ, I don't think it'd be out of place. I don't recall when World Eaters repainted their armor... but its easy enough for your Lords personal back story to justify it too.

Just make sure it has enough blood on it to make it hard to tell that it used to be white in the first place. The guy'z supposed to be busy slaying stuff rather than polishing his white armor.

Yeah World Eaters are only red because they had 10k years of butchering people and don't clean their armour anymore because they've pretty much been all driven insane by the nails/khorne.

I guess they lost all their legions serfs because they cut their heads off when Angryron mentioned he was jonesing for some skulls.

For your HQ i think it would look cool having a white and blue guy, but you gotta get the right amount of gore on him. He can be your lord whos been fighting the good fight since the hersey!

Yeah, the gore is a good idea. More than likely I'll start a thread about the process. Going to have to look into some tutorials on weathering and blood!

It's not, they must've painted their armour red at some point. Dried blood would be brown/black and also patchy and inconsistent, their armour now is pretty clearly a flat consistent red colour.

I don't know, I kind of like the idea of a World Eater with OCD that makes him keep his armor scrubbed and polished clean.

Maybe it's his OCD that makes him so nuts. Feels the need to kill but gets all enraged when his armour gets dirty! Haha
