What's the best way to use Dakkajets?

I'm going to upgrade my current 1250 Speed Freakz list to 1500 and was thinking two Dakkajets would compliment the Lootas nicely.

What's the best way to run them? 3 Super Shootas, Flyboss, both, naked? If naked, I could slot in a Deffkopta for Linebreaker lulz (running Zhadsnark for Warbiker Troops).

Please enlighten me

You want all the Shootas you can get. Flyboss is a list tailoring tool that I really wouldn't consider worth it due to the notably limited shooting the Dakkajet does anyways specifically when compared to other forms of output.

The rules for fliers allows it to choose to sky fire or not, perhaps offering some usefulness for flying targets in lists that can't afford slots for Traktor cannons. Otherwise, it comes on the board and targets AV10 and light infantry.

In the wrong list it's a magnet for the only anti air your enemy brought, and I feel speed freak lists could be complimented soo much better by artillery, deffcopra, or more bikes.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

I like putting the dakkajet on the board mostly because it looks cool. I always take the extra supa'shoota' but never take the flyboss. I am taking the dakkajet to shoot at stuff on the ground so taking the flyboss does not make sense to me.

I have found my dakka jets are usually left alone by my opponents and if they can get off 2 turns attacks at juicy ground targets they almost always get their points back.

I haven't tried mine yet, but I'm thinking just the Flyboss. I like the option to put a little hurt on FMCs.

I hadn't read the Flyboss rules, I thought it was BS3 static Triple Shoota sounds good, would need to jiggle a few points around though..

I personally prefer the Blitza Bomma instead. Still cheap, but you're at least gonna get that one big bomb off to screw up the enemy before something blows you out of the sky.

I've never had great success with shootas on vehicles though, which might be tainting my opinion a bit.

Night Lord XIII Company: 6,600 Points, 12W-4L
Skaven Cheese-stealer Renegade Cult: 2,000 points, 0-0
Warboss Spine Squisha's Ork Warband: 3,000 Points, 1W-3L
Carcharadons Astra: 2000 Points, 11-2
Drukhari: 1250 Points, 2-0

I think between Strafing run and Flyboss it pretty well IS BS3 across the board.

Seconding the Blitzabommer. TL-rokkit Deffkoptas fill a similar tank-hunting role in the same FOC slot, though. You just have to weigh a hard-to-hit flyer with one-use fairly accurate AP2 armorbane vs outflanking T5 2W fairly accurate AP3 with a characterless low Ld.

Unfortunatly it's BS3 only when shooting at Flyers, FMC and Skimmers.

It has strafing run.

Means bs3 vs ground targets.
