I'm considering making some unique Broadsides using the missile arms from the GW broadsides (I have some) with FW Resin Broadsides, replacing the Railguns with the missile pod arms and trying to fit the power belts to the missile pods with a little hot water re-shaping. Do we think this is mad or could it work and be awesome and unique? I have some GW broadsides, but have not physically seen the FW models, only admired them from the site and thought that they could possibly be posed with more diversity than my GW ones...

Are you talking about the new or old GW broadsides? My gut feeling is that the new plastic ones will be way too big and make the FW models look like mechamissile gorillas. The old metal ones should work though.

Oh dear. Do the current forgeworld ones have much smaller bodies?

The old broadside was functionally the same size as a normal tau suit just with the railguns added to the shoulders. The new one is taller, wider, and deeper which is why it's on a bigger 60mm base. The only side by side pic I can find with a quick google search is from this thread:

It's not a perfect comparison because the old broadside on the left is using some new kit bits and the new bigger base but you can see see the difference in the bulk. The forgworld kits were about the same size as the old normal ones but with rounded corners.
