I heard someone say Kharn/Karanak wouldn't appear in KDK and I was wondering why this would be if it was even true. For who is more a servant of the blood god than them? If this is true (slowly cancels preorder) why would I ever think of getting this codex...

If this is true I am just imagining GW headquarters.

GW 1: Hey bud what HQs did we put in the new codex.

GW 2: Chaos Lords, Karanak, Kharn, etc... you know the things you would expect.

GW 1: (Head whips around) did you just say Karnanak, and Kharn!

GW 2: (Stops munching on pack of chips and takes legs off desk) why indeed I did? Is that a problem.

GW 1: (Facepalms) Do you really not see the issue here...

GW 2: (Swivels chair towards him and looks at him in utter confusion) What are you getting at.

GW 1: Look here (points towards whiteboard) (starts writing) You see how we have the fan favorite characters here and here.

GW 2: (Starts eating chips) Mhm.

GW 1: Well as you can see each of these books are $50 while Codex: Khorne Daemonkin is also $50.

GW 2: No... Your still not reaching me...

GW 1: (Looks at him in slight annoyance) So as I was saying if they want to play the fan-favorite characters with Codex: Khorne Daemonkin why make them only pay for one codex when they could pay for three!

GW 2: (Jumps out of chair) A brilliant idea! I will write those characters out of the codex immediately!

Or maybe this isn't about World Eaters? I agree it is annoying, though Kharn is CSM not Deamonkin I guess.

The problem is it's basically a god codex between daemons and CSM, all of which are Khornate, it's just..strange.

Unless it's saying that Kharn isn't even trusted by those that sacrifice themselves and others to khorn on a daily basis to the point of not wanting him around

we don't know the full details. the codex may be fluffed as being a particular warband or something

If you want him, ally him in easily. Bring some cultists, they're gonna get killed for blood tithe anyways.

Wait a second... I just saw how little this matters... All units killed will add to blood points... Even if this is not the case I can still stick him in a KDK Berzerker squad and give him that. Kharn can't take artifacts and therefore that doesn't matter to him... Now its just a matter of I'm going to have to find a way to get the rules for Kharn each time the codex updates (if it updates which I doubt). I just hope that any unit killed adds to it... That would make the most sense and if that is not the case we have truly learned that Khorne has a taste for whom spills his blood. Khorne: "How dare these Blood Letters bring me skulls from that filthy Kharn!" I will only take skulls from my beloved Skulltaker!"
