Hi guys this is my first Space Marine list any feedback is greatly appreciated.

HQ- Marneus Calgar with armour upgrade

Elites- 5x Assault Terminators with hammer and shield

Troops- 2x 10 man Tactical Squads with all plasma weapons and Razorbacks for each with a lascannon
1x6man scout squad with Telion cloaks and sniper rifles

Fast- stormtalon gunship with typhoon missile launcher

Heavy- thunderfire cannon
1x10 man Devastator Squad with 4 Lascannons
Stormraven gunship with extra armour and typhoon missile launcher

Comes out in the 1840 range.

The list is pretty good overall - I like the Stormtalon escorting the Storm Raven; I like Calgar and the Terminators, the lascannons are great anti-tank (and can reposition with the doctrine); pretty good stuff.

The stuff I don't like though are the Scout squad (sniper rifles really aren't that great since they don't pin anymore, and their BS isn't too great).. I'd switch to a 100 point unit with ccw in a land speeder storm. if you time it right, they can assault out of it with success as your terminators do the same. Plus, it's a great late-game objective stealing unit.

I'm also not sold on the Tactical Squads. So your plan with the Tactical Squads is to combat squad the plasma cannon out to sit still, and the rest in the razorback? The problem with that is, out of 5 marines hanging back, only 1 will really be effective against a target that's long-range.. this is exactly why I don't like a single heavy in a tac squad. I would think small 5-man squads in a razorback would be fine advancing beside other 10-man squads in rhinos with a plasma and combi firing from the hatch.

Would it be better to do an assault squad rather than the scouts? Will look at trimming the Tac squads to 5 mans and build a 10 man with a rhino. Thanks for th comments they are much appreciated.

No, I wouldn't field an Assault Squad. They really aren't good. The reason I like the scouts is because you can outflank and assault out of the open-topped fast skimmer they come with.. plus it can blind and has a heavy flamer... it's a great way to spend 100 points... and it's two objective secured units!

Here is the updated list. The 10 man Tactical is it good in a DP or should I just go with a Rhino?

Good looking list everyone's got a transport and you have good air superiority.

I think your dev squad could be cut down to 7 marines or 8, free up points for some combi weapons or a beacon or two to help bring in the termies.
